President Donald Trump has worked hard to mend the wounds of the past created by Barack Obama and affirm America’s commitment to the state of Israel and its pro-Western values.
With ISIS and other radical Islamic terrorist groups posing constant threats to stability in the Middle East, President Trump recognizes the need for a stable and strong Israel to bring peace and order to the region. Unfortunately, some celebrities have tried to undermine Trump’s efforts and sway public opinion against Israel.
Roger Waters helped create classic albums like Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall as part of Pink Floyd, and his recent comments show that he should stick to what he’s good at, which is making music. He recently said that the Jewish state is “the worst regime in the world” and unthinkably compared it to Nazi Germany.
Said Roger, “I think that artists who say that they can somehow improve the situation by going and playing in Israel and having conversations with Israeli artists are wrong.” He added, “I’ll tell you why I think they’re wrong, and that is because there are many, many Israeli Jews who are part of the BDS movement … and any of those people will say, ‘No, I don’t want to sit around a campfire with you, what I want you to do is not cross the picket line.’”
Said Waters, who wants other performers to boycott Israel, “It’s hard not to go back to [Joseph] Goebbels. [Israel’s] tactic is to tell the big lie as often as possible over and over and over again.” He claimed about American Jews, “They’ve been living in this constant state of hasbara created by AIPAC and the Israeli lobby in the United States – all of them, their whole life.” Do you think this liberal rock star is an anti-Semite?
