During his testimony, James Comey revealed that he gave the memo of his conversation with President Trump to a ‘close friend’ of his to leak to the public. “My judgment was, I needed to get that out into the public square, and so I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter,” said Comey.
“I didn’t do it myself for a variety of reasons, but I asked him to, because I thought, that might prompt the appointment of the special counsel,” said Comey. The friend was Columbia University Law School professor Daniel Richman. Richman has since gone into hiding.
No one had heard from him until now. Richman spoke to Newsweek to confirm that James Comey, can indeed dunk a basketball. Seriously. That’s what he came forward to say. Comey is 6-foot-8 and they were really curious if he could dunk.
“In a quest for answers, I got ahold of Columbia University professor Daniel Richman—who as of Thursday is known to many as the Comey friend who leaked to the press the former FBI director’s memo about conversations with Trump—to get his quick thoughts on his associate’s ability to stuff the rock on a regulation rim. Richman revealed to Newsweek that Comey has dunked relatively recently,” writes Newsweek.
“He dunked when he turned 50 and does not plan to make another attempt until he is 60,” Richman wrote in an email. “It is quite possible that some close to [Comey] will try to derail this plan,”” writes Newsweek.
